Independence Day Steam Up and Civil War commemoration: Saturday-Monday. Nevada State Railroad Museum, 2180 S. Carson St., Carson City. 1905 Virginia & Truckee Railroad (V&T) #25 steam locomotive will pull a passenger train made up of V&T cars more than 100 years old. On Monday, the 1910 McKeen motorcar will operate. Plus 150th anniversary commemoration of the start of the U.S. Civil War includes a tent “city” with members of The Comstock Civil War Re-enactors, who will battle for control of the steam train on runs that start at 11:20 a.m., 2 p.m., and 3:20 p.m. (times subject to change).
